NASA research during the Apollo era revealed something surprising: genius isn’t rare—it’s dormant.

Many of the people we serve have lived their entire lives being told what’s wrong with them. Strengths-based coaching reverses that story.

Genius Spark is our human development partner. Their platform distills assessments like CliftonStrengths into simple, practical insights that show people their strengths, blind spots, and best-fit roles.

Originally used by Fortune 500 companies and major project teams, Genius Spark is now just as powerful for youth, returning citizens, families in crisis, and nonprofit leaders. It helps people understand who they are, what they’re good at, and how to build a stable life around their natural abilities.

Genius Spark is central to our mission at River Rose. It gives people something they’ve often never had: language for their strengths, clarity for their path, and confidence to move forward.

Texas A&M University
River Rose is developing a long-term partnership with Texas A&M University to establish our property as a learning and research site dedicated to building sustainable, spiritually grounded communities.

This collaboration aligns closely with the mission of Dr. Jorge Vanegas and the Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC) in the College of Architecture. Their focus on resilience, community design, and leadership mirrors our work on the ground in Glen Rose.

Rex’s ongoing collaboration with Texas A&M—including his recognition as a Texas A&M Business Fellow—provides the foundation for an emerging partnership that will help River Rose become a replicable model for small towns seeking renewal.
